Omotesando Bilingual Toastmasters Club chartered!

Like a Huge Tree!
Kiichiro Ohmi, DTM
Founding President of Omotesando Bilingual Toastmasters Club, 2009-2010

First Speech Contest!

Omotesando has two faces. Of couse Omotesando is known as one of the most fashionable towns in Tokyo. There are many international brand-name shops, like PLADA, LUIS VITON,CARTIE and more. But originally, Omotesando had another face. Omotesando means the main approach path to the Meiji-Jingu Shrine.
It is my very great honor to report that Omotesando Bilingual Toastmasters Club was chartered January 26th ,2010. We started the very first meeting on June 6th,2009.  There have been no Bilingual clubs meeting on the weekend at the center of Tokyo before us. That’s why a lot of members started attending our club from wide area not only in Tokyo but also from Saitama Kanagawa and Chiba prefecture.
By the way, there are many huge trees, and deep woods around  Meiji-Jingu Shrine.
Do you know that these woods are actually human work? After the Emperor Meiji passed away, our forerunners decide to build a memorial shrine and make new woods around the shrine. And a hundred thousand trees were gathered from all of Japan and donated to build the woods. Now, t90 years has past since that time. The young plants have grown into huge trees and we can not believe the  human beings created the woods so easily.
I think Omotesando Club members are young plants gathering from wide area. And all members are gathering be they want to build their communication and leadership skills.
Omotesando is a main approach path to Meiji-Jingu Shrine.
Omotesando Bilingual Toastmasters Club is also a main approach to our future.

We hold regular meeting every 1st and 3 rd Saturdays 14:00 to 16:15 near by Omotesando Station.

We are a bilingual club and we have both English and Japanese sessions in one meeting.
If you want to personal growth and have no time on weekday, please join us!
