New Year Greetings from LGET Watanabe, Jan 2014

Hisashi Watanabe, ALS, ACS
District76 Lt.Governor Education and Training, 2013-2014

Happy New Year!

Thank you so much for the support last year. I wish you all the best for the new year!

Half my term as Lieutenant Governor Education and Training, LGET, has passed. I have been helped by a lot of people. Thank you so much! Looking back on the last 6 months, I was not sure if I could contribute to District 76.  However, one thing I was convinced of was that each individual member, nothing else, adds value to all Toastmasters activities.

I would like to focus on the following for the coming 6 months.

To facilitate communication among members

I strongly believe that communication beyond the club level is the best way to energize District 76. Of course, I would like to take advantage of all opportunities, such as club officer trainings and contests, for that. On top of that, I really want to foster the TMC Facebook group, which has over 900 members now. Although it is an unofficial group, it is one of the best ways for members to communicate. If you are not a member yet, please feel free to contact me,

The Facebook TMC group URL:

To support those who want his or her ideas realized

Realizing one's own ideas is a great way to enjoy Toastmasters. These ideas could be suggesting a small improvement or organizing a big event. I want to support such members!

To listen to members

As LGET, I enjoy the opportunities to listen to many members and I can learn from it a lot. One of the biggest advantages of serving as LGET is to have the power to spread such great ideas to District 76. I want to make all members happy to take advantage of this process!

For the next 6 moths, I will do my best, and I really need your cooperation. I believe Toastmasters is a serious playground for grown-ups. Let's enjoy it together!
