2013-14 "Let's Talk" Program

Kiminari Azuma, DTM
District76 Lt.Governor Marketing, 2013-2014
Let's start the "Let's Talk" program.

A district exists to support clubs. A club exists to support its members.
There are 163 clubs in District 76, including prospective clubs, however, I have visited only 44 clubs (26%) in the last 13 years.  I feel that I am not fully qualified to talk about ‘District’ issues unless I know what each individual club is like in our district.

I want to see, listen to and understand the clubs in District 76 by visiting as many of them as I can.  If the time, place or opportunity for a club visit is not right for me, I will schedule a Skype meeting with a club.

Why am I doing this?  It is all about the "Let's Talk" program.
Let's look at this program in detail.

What will we do in the "Let's Talk" program?

In a "Let's Talk" program session, I will meet club leaders and listen to their stories directly. Each club will have its own individual session.  It will take 30 to 60 minutes.

Who should participate?

I want to meet your club president, VPE and VPM.  However, it is up to you to decide who you want to invite to the session.  Please do not come alone.

Also, if possible, I would like to invite your area governor and/or division governor to your session.

What will we talk about?

Please tell me about your club.

1. What are your club meetings like?
2. What are your club members like? (What do they want? How do they want to grow?  Etc…)
3. Tell me the good things about your club.
4. What are your challenges?
5. What are your plans to make your club more active and energetic?

Please feel free to tell me anything about your club.  And please do not hesitate to tell me what you want from District 76.

I will listen to you!

How do will we meet and talk?

As I already mentioned, I will have face-to-face meetings with club leaders, however, I will schedule Skype/phone meetings in cases where I am not able to visit your clubs due to schedule conflicts, distance, etc.

Let's talk about how and when we are going to meet to make the "Let's Talk" program happen!

Scheduling Process

1.    As soon as I finish my meeting with division governors, I will start to meet area governors.  I cannot skip these meetings with division governors and area governors because your governors play an important role in club support, and I need their help.
2.    As soon as I finish my meetings with area governors, I will meet with club leaders.

Meeting schedule

I will publish the "Let's Talk" meeting schedule on the District 76 Website. Then, I will touch base with club presidents to finalize the meeting dates.  However, please be advised that the meeting schedules are subject to change.

I am looking forward to meeting you all!
