Greetings from DG Matsumoto, July 2010

Figures and I

Seiko Matsumoto
District Governor

I was not good with figures. But contrary to my nature, I’m addicted to figures. What’s happening to me?  What kind of figures are they? They are in the performance records of District 76.

At the beginning of the term, I set a goal for my office; number of CCs, ACs, and number of new clubs, etc.

Up to now, the goals were met successfully every year.

And this year, I’m more than ever interested in two kinds of figures: the World Ranking of districts and the number of new clubs.

- District 76 finished 23rd in 2009-2010 ranking.
- Eight new clubs were born, while 18 prospective clubs are waiting to be chartered.

23, 8, 18. These figures indicate further growth of our district.

No one can say that figures are intangible. They are the embodiment of efforts, cooperation, and harmony.

The district performance is the collected outcome of efforts of clubs, areas, and divisions.

In this sense, let’s go "Step By Step To Success In One Team", shall we?
