2. Nominating Schedule
 Month Activities
October District governor appoints the Chair of Nominating Committee by October 1.
November Remaining members are appointed by November 1.
December

1. Publish a call for candidates in the district newsletter and on the district web site with attachments.

★ Deadline for submitting this form: January 31, 2012.

2. Seek out qualified members who announce their intention to run for office.( in addition to the candidates).

January Committee accepts candidates by 31st of January.
February – March

1. Committee interview all known candidates for each elected position.
2. All candidates sign and submit to committee their “Officer Agreement and Release Form”. (page 4.)

3. Committee completes the “Candidate Checklist and Evaluation Form” for each candidate.
4. Committee votes
   (1) One or two each for District Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Education and Training.
   (2) One or more for Lieutenant Governor of Marketing and Division Governors.
   * To be nominated, a candidate must receive majority of the Nominating Committee.
5. Committee nominates
   (1) One or two candidates for District Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Education and Training.
   (2) one or more candidates for Lieutenant governor of Marketing and other positions.
6. Chair or District Governor notifies candidates of district leader selections.
7. Chair confirms with selected candidates their agreement.
   * Explanation about floor candidate is made to the candidates that are not selected.

March – April 1. Committee completes the nomination report
2. Chair reports the committee’s result in writing to District governor at least six weeks prior to District Council.
3. District Governor submits the results in writing to all members of District Council at least four weeks prior to District Council.
The results should be put on the district newsletter and/or web site. The notice of meeting must be included.
4. Chair provides District Governor with all “Officer Agreement and Release Form.”
5. After District Council Meeting, District Governor submits all “Officer Agreement and Release Form“ to WHQ by way of e-mail to districts@toastmasters.org.
April – May Chair submit new leader information to WHQ.
District Governor assures if “Officer Agreement and Release Form” are submitted correctly.

3. Nominating Committee Deliberations: Meet all of the requirements
Candidate Position to Elect Requirements : at the time of taking office, the candidate shall have served:
District Governor * (6) consecutive months as club president
* (12) consecutive months as Lt. governor or a division governor or a combination
* A member of in good standing of Toastmasters club in good standing
Lieutenant Governor Education & Training * (6) consecutive months as club president
* (12) consecutive months as Lt. governor, a division governor, or an area governor or a combination
* A member in good standing of a Toastmasters club in good standing
Lieutenant Governor Marketing * (6) consecutive months as club president
* (12) consecutive months as Lt. governor, a division governor, or an area governor or a combination
* A member in good standing of a Toastmasters club in good standing
Division Governor * (6) consecutive months as a member of a district council (club president, vice president education , are governor, district secretary, district treasure)
* A member in good standing of a Toastmasters club in good standing
