New Year Greetings

Minoru Tamura
District Governor

I wish you and your clubs a Happy and Quality 365 days.
2010 is the start of the 2010s which will be a very important decade for Japan since the past two decades 1990s and 2000s became the lost 20 years in the filed of economy. In 2000s, the total amount of wage dropped and the nominal GDP fell about 0.5%. The 19th ranking of per-capita GDP shows that we have to change to maintain our country in a good standing.

How are you enjoying and benefiting from Toastmasters ?
How is your DCP performance for the past 6 months and prospect for the coming 6 months ? District 76 has been showing a good record as a whole thanks to your contribution, but the number of CCs is still slow. Last year China surpassed Japan in club number at 97 and the number of CCs stood at 76 against our 54 as of last month. Let’s keep a close eye on China and India which have been growing so fast.

The 2010 Spring Conference will be held in Tokushima on May 21 to 23 for the first time in Shikoku. All members of Tokushima, Takamatsu, Kochi and Nishinomiya are united together to hold a conference which features Quality & Pilgrimage Hospitality and cannot be missed. Please plan to mark your calendar to attend and enjoy your Toastmastering.
“Quality Regular Meeting to Enjoy and Grow.”
