The 2009 first Division B club officers training workshop was held at Sanpian Kawasaki, 17 minutes walk from JR Kawasaki, station on Sunday afternoon, August 2nd.
Our workshop was very successful and beneficial to get to know each other in Division B. Division B consists of English clubs (3 Areas) and Japanese clubs (1 Area). Therefore, we prepared two kinds of rooms (English clubs for a large room and Japanese clubs for a small room). We started opening by getting together in a large room, but after that, we separated into two rooms (English workshops and Japanese workshops) and conducted workshops simultaneously. In English session, we divided into 7 groups by club officer’s role, and discussed club’s goals and problems each other. In Japanese session, we conducted workshops in a classroom style due to smaller participants compared with English session. Both English and Japanese workshops were very effective thanks to the cooperation of speakers as well as Area Governors. Also, according to the feedback from participants, their comments were very positive such as “It was great to meet other club officers and share problems each know”, and “Every session was well designed. It’s been a really fruitful day.” The second Division B workshop is planned on Feb. 21, 2010. We would like to expect more participants, and support club officers for club memberships growth as well as educational achievements.
