The 2009 - 2010 2nd Division B club officers training workshop was held from 13:00 to 17:00 on Sunday, Feb. 28th at Sanpian Kawasaki.
In the morning, it was raining, but it stopped raining from the afternoon. luckily.
This time, using the same venue as the 1st club officers training workshop in August, 2009, we have been able to conduct the Division B workshop on schedule.

From four Areas (21, 22, 23 and 24), many club officers and some special guests (LGET Matsumoto, LGM Matthew Ownby, and IPG S. Takimoto), joined our workshop.
Thanks to well prepared presentations by facilitators as well club officers positive participations, this club officers training workshop was very informative, and beneficial.
We conducted the workshop by dividing into two groups: one is the session for English clubs, and another is the session for Japanese clubs.

In the English clubs session, there were four programs: “Parliamentary Procedure, “How to Build the Best Club Climate”, Mentoring Program” and “Club Alignment”.
In the Japanese clubs session, there were three programs: “Parliamentary Procedure”, “Club Alignment”, and “Judging Criteria on Speech contest”.

Comments from participants were very positive and comprehensive.  For example,
Well organized, and it was easy to understand because of good handouts.
The dialogue between two facilitators was an excellent way to introduce problem.
It was a good opportunity to think about Mentoring Program.
Judging criteria of speech contest was very beneficial and useful.
By joining this workshop, I changed my view. And I want to try to join the speech contest as a contestant.
The briefing of Club alignment was very informative and useful.

I am sure that this workshop will be beneficial and useful for the growth of all clubs.

I would like to thank our Area Governors (Area 21, 22, 23, and 24) to encourage participations of many club officers from each club for this workshop.
I also appreciate great support and teamwork to our Area Governors who had been working together with me for the past two months or so.

I do hope that at the next term, more club officers will join the club officers training workshop, and gain lots of benefits by learning and sharing them among club officers.
