  • We emphasized several major tasks to improve Toastmasters clubs, such as making meetings more exciting and improving leadership skills.
  • We welcomed District Governor Minoru Tamura, who outlined his goals for the year and explained the Distinguished Club Program.
  • We had a lengthy discussion about how officers can be more effective.  Officers were grouped according to their office.
  • Several experienced Toastmasters led workshops on important aspects of Toastmastering:
Improving weak clubs—Area 41 Governor S.Suzuki
Gaining and keeping new members—Area 42 Governor S.Ohtera
Making meetings exciting—Area 43 Governor T.Ueda
Successful leaders—TM M.Saneshige (East-Kobe TMC)

  • We concluded with a brief discussion about the problems facing Division D.
