2nd Officers Training Report

  • We emphasized three aspects of officers training this time:  interactive presentations, discussion-based sessions, and focus on the key roles of officers.
  • We welcomed LGET Seiko Matsumoto, who outlined the basic elements in the CL program.
  • TM Ludlow Gibbons presented an interactive workshop about gaining and maintaining new members.
  • Officer roles were presented by several veteran Toastmasters:
President—TM K.Soga (Speak-Up TMC)
Vice President for Education—TM R.Hanamine (Senri TMC)
Vice President for Membership—TM K.Matsui (Kyoto TMC)
Vice President for Public Relations—Area 41 Governor S.Suzuki

Secretary—Area 43 Governor T.Ueda (with TM S.Mine,
East-Kobe TMC)
Treasurer—Area 42 Governor S.Ohtera
Sergeant-at-Arms—TM M.Nagahama (Nishinomiya TMC)
  • We had an hour-long discussion about how officers can be more effective.  Officers were grouped according to their office.
  • We concluded with a brief discussion about the future of Division D.
