2009 Division E Club Officer Training No. 1 was Held for Japanese Clubs and English Clubs Separately.

2009 Division E Officer Training No. 1 for Japanese clubs was held in Kumamoto City on Sunday, August 16. Higo TC supported the event and some 20 people attended the morning program which ended with a lunch together. The main programs included (1) Explanation on TM’s New International Organization, (2) DCP Programs and How to Use the Wall Charts, (3) Workshops on Club Officers’ Duties.

2009 Division E Officer Training No. 1 for English and bi-lingual clubs was held in Kokura on the whole afternoon on Sunday, August 30. Some 60 people attended the event including many supporters from Kitakyushu TC, the Support Club. The main programs included (1) Club Introduction, (2) Lectures on the importance of Officer Training and DCP by LGET Matsumoto and IPDG Takimoto, (3) International Re-organization by DTM Omachi, (4) General Presentation of the Character of Toastmasters Activities, (5) Explanation on the Resources Available at TMI and How to Use Them and (6) Workshops on Club Officers’ Duties. The whole program was complimented by a tea party which was more than a tea party with much food to eat and even some dancing. The general remarks by the attendees included needs for more time for free discussion and exchange of opinions and ideas in the future similar event.

Between the two officer trainings, 57 officers in all out of 15 existing clubs attended the Officer Training No. 1.
2009 Division E Officer Training No. 2 will be jointly held for Japanese and English clubs in Ebino City, Miyazaki Prefecture on January 24, 2010. Minamikyushu TC will support the event. The important feedbacks from the first trainings will be reflected in the programs there to the extent possible.
